Lodger Agreement - Licence for lodger in your flat
|
A simple agreement in plain English which is suitable for an owner to let a
room to a lodger for a limited period for example. Ideal for a 'student let' in a house where the owner is also in
occupation.
This lodger agreement is suitable for anyone who owns a flat or is a tenant in a flat and intends to rent a room to a lodger
and remain living in the flat. If you are the tenant in the flat and you are renting a room you should ensure you have written
permission from your landlord.
A simple agreement to complete, we advise you print two copies and both you and your lodger should sign both copies. This
comprehensive agreement makes provision for rent amount, deposit amount, rent review period, any services you intend to
provide your lodger, plus other standard provisions, however you are free to delete any clauses that do not apply.
If you are taking advantage of the £4250 tax–free rent allowance under the governments Rent a Room Scheme this is the right
agreement for you and your lodger to sign.
